This photo was taken by me in April 2002 on my trip to Virginia. It is a quiet, and beautiful spot in the mountain, and very visible from the road.   The easiest way to find it (in my opinion), is to take Highway 82 from US 19 in Lebanon, Va.  Go down 82 a few miles until you see the Cleveland Rescue Squad building on the right, and a gas station.  Across from there on the left, is a small sign which says '640'. Take a left there. It looks like you're turning up someone's driveway, but trust me, you aren't.  Take 640 for about 4-5 miles, and soon, you'll see a real pretty white church with a white fence, and the Jessee School.  That's the intersection of 640 and 645.  If you keep straight on 640 about 1/4 of a mile or less, on the left, is the mill.  You'll have to pull up in the grass to get off the road.  To take pictures of the school, we parked in the church lot.  Part of 640 is a 2 lane gravel road before it gets back to the paved part, but it's good road.  If you take US 82 all the way down to 645 and turn left there, it will get you to the mill as well, but it's a lot longer drive, and it's all over the mountain, around lots of hairpin curves, and very narrow areas which are blind coming around corners.  I don't recommend it unless you like a challenge, as most areas don't have guardrails!  I did it both ways, and I like the short way taking 640 left at the Cleveland Rescue Squad.
